There really is no end to WoW. Like most MMOs, it ends when you decide it does. There’s PvP at all levels, and they just released their 2nd big expansion. At no point is there a Ta-daa! cutscene and roll credits…it’s over when you decide it’s over.
If by finish World of Warcraft, you mean beat the game, you cannot beat the game. The closest you could come to achieving that is to successfully complete all of the end-game raids and get the best armor and weapons available… but that takes a long time and proves to be pretty pointless
There is no end to WoW. Even when you reach level 80, there are still things to do or new characters to create.
You could play WoW non-stop for days on end if you really cared to (they do maintenance Tuesday mornings so the servers are down for a short while, but other than that, the game is never-ending).
Some people get overwhelmed by the idea of a never-ending game, but you just have to take it one day at a time and have fun!
WoW is an accumulation of achievements and personal goals. You can choose to get certain gear, kill certain bosses/raids or achieve a certain amount of honor or arena ranking. If you reach your goals, you can either be happy and move on or set different goals. Currently, many players have defeated the current raids available, but more difficult content will soon be released to challenge players again.
Many people have been playing for 4 years, and there is an expectation that at least that much new content is on the horizon until players reach the assumed level cap of 100 after two more expansions.
The most important thing to do is to finish your personal goals. Whether that be to have the best gear or level one of each class to maximum level.
world of Warcraft never ends, even when you have reached the highest lvl u can still get gear and pvp and and you can always re-roll another class and then they have the expansions so… I guess it ends when your ready to quit playing.
there is a max level you can reach in world of warcraft but the only time the game ever ends in when you decide your tired of playing it lol. theres always something new to do thats the way the game was designed.
Wow basically has no end to it, unless you count taking down Arthas as the end of progression, but then you have pvp, you can pvp forever and have no end to it. So no no end to the game, cause you can go and go and go forever and do the same crap every day just to say you, for instance, killed Arthas 100 times.

You can’t really finish the game.
Sure, you can get to level 80, but after that, you can continue playing if you choose.
You can play as long as your little heart desires.
Hope I helped!

WoW has no end. You can play as long as you pay for the service. There is always a town somewhere that needs raided.
